With dialogue and constructive partnership towards the construction of a modern children's hospital

"Health Investment Company for Children's Hospital" and the Ministry of Health do not view the project piece by piece, but work on it in its overall complexity – from engineering and technical planning to future staffing. This was categorically emphasized by Desislava Malinova, Executive Director of the company, at the first working meeting of the new Ministry of Health team with representatives of the Public Council for the construction of the National Children's Hospital.

The meeting was held as planned at the initiative of the Minister of Health, Katya Ivkova, and was attended by Deputy Minister Prof. Petko Salchev.

Main highlights:

• Minister Ivkova reaffirmed a core principle of the work process – full transparency and dialogue with civil society and the academic community to realize the long-awaited children's hospital with the best experts in the country.
• Members of the newly forming Public Council committed to expanding its composition to ensure the broadest possible expertise. This is expected to lead to more expertly grounded, workable proposals to support the construction process of the medical facility, in addition to constructive criticism.
• The Executive Director of the Health Investment Company provided updated information regarding public procurement, current steps of the work process, ongoing communication to ensure the necessary infrastructure, and planned meetings with institutions.

 

"Health Investment Company for Children's Hospital"  provides monthly progress reports to the National Assembly and the Ministry of Health. It also prepares opinions and references for inquiries from competent institutions and publishes up-to-date information on its website.
