Minister Kirilov: Next month is fundamental for the work on the National Children's Hospital project

The Minister of Health, Assoc. Prof. Silvi Kirilov, held a meeting with the Public Council for the construction of the National Children's Hospital.
It was attended by Deputy Minister of Health Ms. Dobromira Kareva, Executive Director of the Health Investment Company for Children's Hospital (HICCH) Dr. Vlatko Gligorov and representatives of the board of directors of HICCH.
After being informed about the implementation of the workplan so far, the Minister also listened to all representatives of the Public Council.
"Next month is fundamental for the work on the National Children's Hospital project. We will work within a short time frame, but I am sure that we will manage. I assure you that this is one of our main priorities," Assoc. Prof. Kirilov said.
At the end of this month, the consulting consortium IDOM is expected to submit a Functional Report, which will include construction parameters and characteristics of the premises - square footage, ceiling height, etc., as well as a Plan for equipment and complete furnishing of the future Children's Hospital. After that, a series of meetings will be held at the end of March, both online and in person, to adopt the final documents. They are of great importance, as they are also necessary for the subsequent procedures - development of a preliminary design and a design for the construction of the Children's Hospital.
Minister Kirilov assured the representatives of the Public Council that the Ministry of Health is working towards staffing the Children's Hospital by implementing specific policies for both doctors and healthcare specialists.
