In January 2026, specific actions were taken regarding the National Children's Hospital project, aimed at preparing for the next stage. "Health Investment Company for Children's Hospital" is working in parallel on the financial framework, key infrastructure, and coordination with medical facilities and state institutions involved in its implementation.

The month began with an important step toward ensuring transparency and stability – the Annual Financial Report and the company's activity report for 2025 were prepared and adopted. The documents have been sent for review and certification by an independent financial auditor. According to preliminary data, the company ended the year with a positive financial result of over €50,000.

Among the priority topics in January was the undertaking of actions to ensure the power supply for the future hospital. Working meetings were held with representatives of Sofia Municipality and the Electricity System Operator (ESO) to initiate the procedures for constructing a substation necessary for the normal functioning of the medical complex.

Work on the project also continued through active dialogue with the management of medical facilities that have pediatric clinics and departments. The goal is for the future children's hospital to be well-integrated into the existing health system and to contribute to better coordination and efficiency of pediatric care.

During the month, another coordination meeting was held with the participation of representatives from Road Infrastructure Agency, Sofia Municipality, and the Ministry of Regional Development. The meeting discussed urban planning procedures, the construction of adjacent infrastructure, and the planning of expropriation activities. This work continues on a monthly basis.

In parallel, work continued on the preparation of the documentation for the public procurement for design and author's supervision of the National Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment of Children, including activities related to the mandatory preliminary control under the Public Procurement Act.

Responses, opinions, and references were also prepared for inquiries from competent institutions. In accordance with a National Assembly decision from February 14, 2024, "Health Investment Company for Children's Hospital" provides monthly progress reports on the project to the members of parliament.
